My passion for architecture is revealed in my ideogram series from cities around the world. What are ideograms? They’re my mixed media artworks where I marry the real-life architecture and other urban objects captured in photography with graphics. Usually capturing architecture in photos means taking an iconic, monumental-looking, hygienic photo of the building which looks nice but somehow not-true on a magazine cover. By creating ideograms I am searching for a more personalised connection with the architecture and the urban environment in general, reinterpreting them as well as offering a different perspective on it.
