World Refugee Day is an international day designated by the United Nations to honour refugees around the globe. It falls each year on June 20 and celebrates the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their home country to escape conflict or persecution.
I was happy to create the visual identity and designs for the music festival, dedicated to honour this day in Lithuania.
The organizers wrote: 'On June 20th, we invite you to celebrate World Refugee Day together at the open-air music festival in Kūdrų Parkas. We will welcome you with the slogan Cultural Rhythms (...), which represents the idea that different cultures have their unique rhythms, symbolizing their traditions, experiences, and self-expression.'
My goal was to express this slogan and incorporate Vilnius city as the meeting & living place for all these cultures. This is how the main illustration was conceived. Later, I designed various materials needed for promoting the festival and for the event itself: social media visuals, banners, posters, informational roll-ups, stage tents, badges, marketing materials such as tote bags, and more.
Additionally, I created video advertisements that were broadcast on the National broadcaster TV channel (LRT) and JCDecaux screens throughout the city.
I extend my gratitude to Art Agency ARTSCAPE and the Ministry of Social Security and Labour for inviting me to participate in this very important day.
